Intro.
Everyone on this planet probably knows Wolfs due to the large amount of theories that surround this beautiful animal, Some of these theories prove to be true, some not, some are still a mystery, including the stories of evil predators. These strange theories eventually led to the stories of werewolf’s and other monstrous beasts in the years that passed. So today, I am going to give you a full on explanation of the Animal known as the wolf and its true identity.

When you think of the a wolf you think of a gray dog like creature who lives in a cave and has a pack and a bone chilling howl. Well most of that is correct except the part that wolfs do not always live in caves. And a wolfs howl isn’t just scary, it’s more or less beautiful and mysterious.

Cleaning up rumors.
For example a Wolf will probably not eat you, If a wolf attacks and successfully kills a human (which is rare), it can feed on the body but that is very rare. Wolves are opportunistic carnivores, meaning they’ll eat what’s available—especially in times of hunger or if they are very desperate. But Grey wolfs and all other wolfs DO NOT see humans as a natural source, for a lot of reasons including the fact that we have been hunting them for a really long time AND we have guns and other weapons that are MUCH MORE DANGEROUS than claws and jaws which is pretty much all wolfs have to defend and attack. (Other then their fame Which is not a shield, It’s a type of respect that barely exists) they don’t attack commonly attack either. Attacks are VERY uncommon. They will only attack if there face Habituation (used to humans and may lose fear of them), Hunger or starvation (loss of natural prey in their area) , Rabies or illness (causes uncommon aggression), Defense of territory or babies known as pups, Provoked or cornered (feels threatened by something or someone.

Grey wolfs live in Northern North America, Asia, And Africa. And they are carnivores.
People that think that Wolfs are evil, Check again, Because they are, as I told you, mostly harmless and have no reason to attack unless you threaten them. That, unfortunately does not change the fact that if a wolf leaves the border of a national Park by mistake, it is immediately vulnerable to being shot by anyone since it is not illegal to shoot a wolf in some states, if it is not in a protective place.

The pack.
A wolf pack is a wolfs main source of safety. If not a member of a pack, They will probably die of starvation. Unfortunately, Some packs are aggressive and rude and will kill anyone who tries to join that they do not know or even those who stumble into their territory by mistake. These are the hardcore packs that are very tight knit. These ones are dangerous to get into and can result in the deaths of Innocent wolfs, but that’s just the circle of life.

The origins of the rumors and more.
Something that a lot of people wonder is why wolfs are so widely feared in America. The answer to this lies in the history of wolfs. Long ago, The wolfs were known as one of the kings of the spirits in the eyes of the Native Americans, but over the course of hundreds of years, the Wolf population was dwindling due to European settlements expanding. The farm animals that were treasured by the Europeans were being killed and eaten weekly by the cunning wolfs that lived in the forests that bordered the farms. Every night the wolfs snuck through the traps, and every night there was chaos in the farms, mooing, and clucking and the next morning, some animals were gone, there were feathers everywhere and there was blood. To these farmers, there were lots of possibilities on who could do such a thing. There were wolfs and there were coyotes, but the biggest was the fear of a monster lurking in the woods at night. of course, there is no such thing as a evil monster at night, but the people still wondered out of fear. These rumors officially started the myths of many beasts in the area.The Grey wolf is the most common among all wolfs in the wild as it lives in forests that are still uninhabited by humans of any kind. The Grey wolf is an amazing hunter, with sharp claws and powerful jaws that are used to bite down on prey. They have a tactic where two of the wolfs attack, making the prey run into the circle of wolfs waiting for it, where they close in and have a small feast. They are one of the few types of wolfs that surrounded and created the fear of wolfs in the first place.
Wolfs have slowly returned after being nearly wiped out in the North America and Asia and Africa. Today thanks to the help of organizations, They can thrive again.

Conclusion.
They are one of the wolds most famous animals due to the fact that they are the ancestors of the modern dogs that are so popular today. These ancestors are wolfs that were captured and trained as well as tamed. they were eventually tamed over dozens of years, and even though through hundreds of years have throughly changed them, they are still part wolf: like digging holes: they do it the store precious things like food like all wolfs do. Or the fact that they howl sometimes like wolfs. or that they pee in certain places to mark territories like wolfs! these traits have remained true over the years due to the wolfs that they have descended from, and they are still part wild. (So technically, we have pet wolves!)
